Golden Oaks Village Living
Several years ago, there was a group of people in the Lodi Central SDA Church who had a dream. The specific and primary purpose was to strengthen the Seventh-day Adventist faith among the senior citizens of the Lodi area by making available housing at the location of the new Lodi Central Church. The new location was planned for the corner of Ham Ln. and W. Century Boulevard. The church to be named English Oaks Seventh-day Adventist Church and on the same property a senior facility was to be called Golden Oaks Village.
The general purposes of the senior facility were too: 1. Provide easy access to the religious events; 2. Facilitate activities with English Oaks Church; 3. Provide affordable housing.
It was the belief of the planners that such a facility would allow the Seventh-day Adventist senior citizens to carry on social, recreational, and religious events for their common benefit, together with and easy access to, a vibrant local church program.
